Ned and Genie Fritz Texas Buckeye Trail Project in Blair Park
Join us to restore the lost trails of Blair Park. This project is a collaboration between: Dallas Parks & Recreation, Trinity Coalition, North Texas Master Naturalists (NTMN), Bonton Neighborhood Association, Boy Scouts of America Troop #914.
Location: Blair Park 6915 Bexar St. Dallas Texas 75215
Ultimate goals:
- Liberate the Texas Buckeye (Aesculus glabra var. arguta) grove from the invasive Chinese Privet (Ligustrum sinense Lour)
- Involve the Bonton neighborhood and find leaders to join our volunteer team

Please join us to restore the Texas Buckeye Trail in the Great Trinity Forest. We have been having fun saving this historic and beautiful Dallas nature trail and special grove of buckeye trees. Optional delish lunch after at the Market at Bonton Farms.

Extra parking on Saturdays: Buckeye Trail Commons Early Head Start 6717 Bexar Street, Dallas, TX 75215
This project is a collaboration with Dallas Parks & Recreation (DPAR), Trinity Coalition, North Texas Master Naturalists (NTMN), and Bonton Neighborhood Association.
We are liberating the Texas Buckeye soft surface trail from the invasive plant, Chinese Privet. Also some litter pick-up - which is an easier task.

Please bring water to drink, wear closed toe shoes, long pants and a long sleeve over shirt. We have gloves, loppers, trash grabbers and other supplies.
Optional lunch at The Market at Bonton Farms.
All volunteers must sign a DPAR waiver from the City of Dallas to work on city property. Per DPAR, only hand tools are allowed for use by volunteers.
We following all direction from Dallas Parks & Recreation (DPAR) and the Trinity Coalition Beautification Agreement.
