Launch Party Paddle Event for first leg of Dallas to the Gulf Expedition.
Jason Pettit, with Trinity Coalition as a sponsor, is working his way through all 710 miles of the Trinity River. The section from Dallas to the Gulf of Mexico has rarely been paddled in it's entirety, but Jason will be setting off Saturday to begin his paddle to the sea by starting with the 11 mile section between Trinity View Launch and Sante Fe take out. He will be filming to make videos and eventually a movie of the expedition. You are invited to join us for this historic first leg. To support the expedition check out our GoFundMe page HERE

Details:
We will meet at Trinity View Park in Dallas to drop of boats and gear. All drivers will then take their cars to drop at Sante Fe Trail takeout by Moore Park. We will then shuttle those drivers back to the launch site for a 10AM launch.
There are a limited number of rental kayaks and canoes available by request. All rentals must be paid for or at least requested before noon Feb 7. Rentals available HERE
If you just want to come for the sendoff and don't want to paddle with us, that is fine, too.
Conditions:
Temps currently forecast to have a high of 80 with a low of 50. One small riffle in this section, though it may be washed out by higher water.
GEAR
PFD's are required to be worn at all times while on the water (provided with rentals)
Wear water friendly clothes and bring a change of clothes (just in case), warm water friendly footwear. (for more information on how to dress check out this article and video Here.) Bring a small sack lunch to either eat on the water or at the takeout. Bring water.
