This is the first of a 5-6 part race series for kayaks and canoes here in North Texas. We hope to be able to raise the profile of paddlesports racing and make Fort Worth a first tier venue while including options for everyone at every level.

This entire series will be focusing on everyone being able to race everyone. It does not matter what type of paddle craft you are bringing. You will be racing against the clock. At the end the "handicap" times will add to some of the faster boats and take away from some of the slower boats. So when registering you will need to know a little about your boat = length , width and possibly weight.
This will be a short 4 mile loop. The launch site is flat and easy to get in. Sandy and easy on the boats. It is skeg/ OC friendly. No frills as in no shirts, food or trophies. Maybe a small goodie bag if sponsors come through. $10.00 per person.

If you would like to rent a kayak to test the waters or for the race please reach out to TC Paddlesports at 214 478-7856. Rental boats will be available for the race, but if you want to rent a boat, call to confirm as we have a variety of different types. Race rentals are $35 for the duration of the race and include vest, paddle and boat.

IMPORTANT! Weather will be chilly and the water will be cold. DRESS FOR IMMERSION and bring a change of clothes in a dry bag to carry with you in case of capsize. PFD's are required for all paddlers and must be worn at all times on the water.
